MOOS Project Viewer 2.8 Opens Master Projects And Sub-projects - May 09, 2012

Starting with version 2.8 MOOS Project Viewer can also open master project files that were generated with Microsoft® Project. Even more it is capable of also opening external sub-projects directly withing the master project file. It is much easier now for project managers to see the overall structure of the program or the portfolio of projects.

A program manager is running multiple projects and all those projects are managed by other project managers. Hence as a program manager, you need to see a consolidated schedule view to see how the program is doing. The master project should offer the structure of the sub-projects and show the dependencies between the projects. And now all this is possible in MOOS Project Viewer.

MOOS Project Viewer 2.7 Added Team Planner View - January 04, 2012

MOOS Project Viewer version 2.7 added a new view from Microsoft® Project - the Team Planner view. Project managers can now see more clear how the teams are working once they have access to the resources schedule.

Project managers struggle with seeing clearly and quickly what their team is doing at any given point in the project schedule. In the Team Planner view in Microsoft® Project Professional 2010 you can see at a glance what tasks have been assigned to resources. The main idea behind Team Planner is combining the power of the Gantt chart with the simplicity and familiarity of the Outlook calendar.

NOTE: Team Planner is a feature available only with Project Professional but starting with version 2.7 it is also available in MOOS Project Viewer.

MOOS Project Viewer 2.6 - Translated to German language - September 01, 2011

MOOS Project Viewer is now available in German language. Also Chinese characters are now supported.

The presentation of data was improved to also render empty lines and a better handling for hyperlinks was added.

MOOS Project Viewer 2.5 - Added support for resource cost type - July 13, 2011

With version 2.5 of MOOS Project Viewer users will now be able to view all types of resources including "Cost" type resources for both versions 2007 and 2010 of MS Project.

As a bonus the presentation of data was also improved such that it resemble as much as possible with Microsoft Project.

MOOS Project Viewer 2.4 - a new Microsoft® Project viewer version available - May 12, 2010

Stand By Soft is pleased to announce the release of MOOS Project Viewer in French language. Besides this major change some other features were added like support for estimated task durations, more columns for tasks and support for MS Project 2007 .mpp files that were obtained by converting them from Microsoft Project 2010.

MOOS Project Viewer 2.3 - display columns as in Microsoft Project - March 15, 2011

Version 2.3 of MOOS Project Viewer is able to display columns as they were saved in MS Project. This way users will see the same column widths, order and custom name as they were in Microsoft Project. But this feature is avalable only when reading from .mpp files.
